You are lucky if you have family and friends willing and eager to lend a hand packing and helping you move your belongings.  Simplified Lives packs and moves people when family and friends are not in the area, or someone has a big event in their lives and other unavoidable circumstances interfere with the best intentions of helping family and friends pack and move.

Recently, Simplified Lives helped a gentleman move who was not sure where to begin with packing and scheduling his move.  His handyman told him that he “knew a couple of guys who have a truck who will move your stuff – cheap”.  Our client’s niece (who lives a couple of hours from her uncle) was instrumental in bringing Simplified Lives into the organization of the move. Yes, it  probably would have been less expensive to  “hire a couple of guys” – but what if something had gone wrong; what if a box was missing or what if something had been dropped and broken?

Every person has something special to consider when moving; antiques, artwork, TV/media equipment or perhaps military or sports memorabilia. Using a professional licensed and insured mover gives you piece of mind that your belongings will be transported from “point A” to “point B” without great anxiety, damage or lost or stolen items.

At Simplified Lives we are professional packers and we are particular about the packing material we use for our clients. For example, we use professional boxes called dish barrels which are terrifically strong and the proper boxes for packing china.

We discourage clients from buying boxes made from recycled paper.  During one move in July on a hot and humid night, our clients’ boxes literally began to disintegrate during the move!  The son of our client had tried to be efficient and save money by buying boxes, online, made from recycled paper.  Time is money; the movers had to go slower to be careful with all of the disintegrating boxes. At Simplified Lives, we do not re-use boxes from prior client moves.
