I own a company that does decluttering & organizing yet my own private office is not always completely organized. 

I do have some help:

  • Director of Operations, for Simplified Lives, that does a great job keeping everything business-related very organized
  • Bookkeeper
  • CPA
  • Payroll company

But I do not have a “personal assistant” managing my life and oh, that would be so nice!  I look at all of the mail and paperwork on my desk and I just marvel at how it grows like “warming bread dough with yeast”! How is it even possible to have this much personal correspondence and paperwork?! I know I do not have enough going on to hire a private assistant – but I can dream!

We often work with clients that have private assistants; they make our job of coordinating and scheduling a breeze. We work with our client’s personal staff; private secretaries/scheduling staff, family foundations, home and grounds managers.  The professionals at Simplified Lives know how to incorporate our clients wishes while working with their support staff for decluttering, packing for home renovations, or moving.

I challenged myself to get my own office decluttered during December. I am exceptionally good at organizing and I have slogged through paperwork drudgery! It feels great to be starting 2021 with files up to date, my shredder almost “worn-out” and an organized desk (which I can once again see).
